I particularly like this paragraph from my DX report....

Also known as "cutting myself some slack", the absence of which led to my burnout in 2017.

Seeing this written down helps me to feel "heard" and understood.

  • With your tiredness, do you fall asleep a lot?  But not like a normal falling asleep feeling, like everything just shuts down asleep and it's almost painful trying to fight it and stay awake?

  • I used to have this I think. As a teen I went to a friends house and a few people were there I couldnt stay awake and fell asleep, works night out asleep at the table, in my 20s I'd fall asleep at my new boyfriends house as hos parents are very loud and too much, struggling still in my 20s gp said it was depression. I'd shut down and my eyes closed was odd. Now I recognise I may be autistic I dont try so hard to make friends or go places I'm not comfortable with so I dont have it really

  • Nights out asleep at the table...yep, done that, many times.  If I'm moving around I'm ok, but as soon as I stop I just shut down.  I try and make sure I get enough rest, but it still happens loads.
