I am totally new to this but I’m looking for some help! Basically I am current about to be made homeless through no fault of my own due to a domestic issue! Previously I lost my home due to the DWP stopping my disability living allowance losing now house my part time job due to the stress and now I’m due in court on the 17th of July for PIP so I do have some rent arrears for my previous house which my landlord agreed not to follow up on but currently living at my mums parents and they aren't a very nice person to the point I could of got hurt so she has now decided she wants me out! I have spoke to the homelessness team within the council and I can’t go into a hostel as mentally I could not cope 1 second and looking to be properly rehoused, I have bid on a 1 bedroom flat in a nice area which I have friends that live there and I have to wait till the 15th to find out about but the council are saying due to my rent arrears which were no fault of my own due to the financial issues I was having they said I may not get a council home or a housing Association house due to this and I have no family around at all and panicking as I need my own place to live that I feel safe at but not sure what to do now as I need to get somewhere else ASAP, also with the council I found that I was able to claim housing benefits for a 2 bedroom property as I sometimes need overnight care and they would of covered the rent for my previous home and I would of had £1.50 change so that has really upset me also.
