Can autism be used as an excuse for bad behaviour ?

Quite simply can those with awareness of their autism, use the diagnosis/label as an excuse for what NT's consider is bad behaviour?

Or is it, to accuse an autistic person of abusing their diagnosis is in effect lack of understanding of autism?

And worse, abuse of autistic people

  • If a person is aware that they are behaving badly, they are doing it deliberately.

  • If the person is not aware and is verbally reprimanded for a full on breakdown, and when starting the journey for sharing basic information for others to read then that is discrimination.  The said person is told it is all in their head, they must change, their perception is wrong, they are being difficult, etc.

They are also being escalated through the sickness process because they need away from the stress/anxiety/depression of their total head£$k/mindful-mess (sic).

The company can also supposedly still get rid of you with a mental health condition - ffs it has only been the last 20% of my time in the company and it is due to the bully with no help/support anywhere.
