Meeting Other people on the autistic spectrum

Good Afternoon Everyone 

My mum had a diagnosis of ASD in September last year and is looking to meet other adults around her age on the AS (she's in her early 60's) as she feels that this will help her to understand her diagnosis better and be more confident at socialising. 

The groups offered through the local Aspergers service post-diagnosis have either been aimed at children and young adults or not specialised. She isn't confident on a computer and doesn't want to chat online so what would be the best way for her to find out about groups in her local area?

    there is a directory on here, so you could search on her behalf, or if you are on facebook, try searching autism your town county" or variations on that. then you could perhaps pass the details onto her
