I find most people tedious and uninteresting. I find more amusement in watching plays and films than actually living. The vast majority of people are tedious and never do anything of interest.

I think educated people are interesting and people with an open mind.
An Ancient Egyptian God was worshipped called Horus. Horus was said to have been born of a virgin, once died and was resurrected three days later, had 12 disciples and cured the sick. Sounds quite familiar, doesn't it?
In the Bible it's written that the Jews who had been slaves in Egypt fled with Moses as their leader and then founded Israel. It all adds up. From their experience in Egypt they learned how the rulers there used religion to control people, so they had their inspiration to create their own spin off. I'm half-Jewish myself but I don't believe in religion. If I told what I just wrote to most religious people they would be indignant and either refuse to talk to me or try to convert me.
That's an example. I wish I could find more people who can have an open conversation.

I’d say there are quite a lot of intelligent, well educated and open minded people using this forum. Why don’t you start a thread about a topic that you find interesting and see what response you get?
Personally I'm afraid that I’m usually terrible at expressing emotion unless it’s extreme. Can’t be dealing with PDAs too much either, most of the time!
I can see why it must have seemed unfair that the mum on the bus was ruining her children’s fun but as a mum myself I can see that she might have been wanting to keep her children under control so as not to annoy other passengers on the bus and to keep in line with societal expectations of acceptable behaviour in public.
That’s ok. It’s a good attempt at explaining. I can also struggle to put into words what I actually want to say when I’m put on the spot!
Yeah that's partly it. About politics, philosophy, economics, fashion, romance, sociology, geography, literature, film, TV.
I also feel people should express more emotion. I rarely see people kiss in public, people are more interesting in films/TV, they don't conceal so much. In real life I sense people are afraid most the time, of what others think.
I was on a bus one day and two little children were playing innocently and harmlessly, having fun, and their mum was being horrible, saying how they wouldn't get to go to a party now because they kept changing seats they were in, playing some kind of game. She was getting more angry, and it was tedious.
I'm not really good at explaining it but that's my best shot.
So I am right in understanding that it’s not so much about what people are doing per se that makes them interesting or not interesting to you. But rather their mind set and whether or not they are highly educated and if they are willing to have open conversations? Is religion the only topic that you want to have open conversations about? What ‘interesting’ open conversations do you want to have with people?
