Re Cycling and Autism

Hello All,

not wishing to draw attention to myself BUT, I gave an interview to Cycling Weekly magazine back in March about my troubles with cycling and being autistic and it is published in today's edition. I hope I have raised some important issues and maybe it will encourage other club riders and clubs to be more understanding as this is sometimes lacking. I hope it makes people laugh as there is humour there as well as frustration. Thank you.

  • Do you have a link to the text so we can read it?

Otherwise do we need to buy a copy? Seems inappropriate to do so, hence no replies yet

i was nearly killed in a cycle accident last year and now my autism is more extreme than ever with frontal brain injury

  • Hello Dave,

I am sorry but I have no idea how to provide a link to the text as I am not a IT person at all. I only brought it up to encourage others on the spectrum to try cycling and also to stand up for the lack of understanding. I am sorry to hear of your accident. It can be quite scary out on the roads at times. I can only suggest people wishing to read the article, visit the local shop and read it while shopping as I tend to do.
