Day to day memory extremely bad

Hi everyone

i am having a very hard time getting around this issue. My memory wipes. It literally wipes as if I wake up everyday a different person and have to start all over again. When I wake in the morning i completely forget my ‘routine’ And how to go about the day. Physically I am not available either and my body isn’t responsive. All my thoughts, feelings and information processed, experiences even from yesterday are non existent. When I try to piece things together, things remain extremely vague as if it was somebody else receiving this information. An example of something I experience is I forget things about myself.

Cab someone please shed some light on this? I don’t understand it, it seems to be getting worse and I’m worried.

thank you!

  • Yes I have mentioned it my doctor but it’s been brushed off because I have other things (mental health wise) he seems to refer back to as if they are causing it. It’s just starting to get to me now as it can worsen on some days more than others. Another thing that’s stopped me from getting too concerned up to now is the fact that I start to remember things gradually though fragmented .

  • I think your doctor needs to take you a bit more seriously, maybe make another appointment with a different doctor? Honestly I have an acquired brain injury as well as Aspergers and your memory sounds a lot worse than mine, I can manage my working memory issues by writing lists/plans and setting reminders on my mobile. I really think that your doctor needs to rule out an organic cause of your memory loss.
