Compulsive overating/Binge eating disorder?

Hi,

I have suffered from severe anorexia until about 8 months ago. My anorexic behaviors have since then slowly evolved into eating very large amounts of food. I went from underweight to a normal weight real quickly and a now facing becoming overweight due to my excessive eating. Previous help for this has not had a real effect. I only feel full when I'm sick of food and feel out of control around food. Does anyone know any ways in which I can help myself? Has anyone else with autism had difficulty determining fullness?

  • i have problems with food if I'm stressed or anxious. About 4 years ago I had a really bad bout of anxiety and the weight feel off me I'm only 5'2.5 (very important half inch lol) I was always around 8.7 to 8.10 and at the time I can remember feeling completely out of control and just stopped eating I went down to about 7.7. Now I'm mega stressed with an issue at work and have gone the other way, can't stop eating and I've now gone up to 9.7 and feel like a complete bloater because I've never been this heavy and am quite small boned. the only way I can control one or the other is by having structure in my life which, at the moment I don't because I'm off work. So I can kind of understand where you are coming from although to nowhere near the same extent.
