Sometimes I just don't find something funny, particularly when it seems a bit pointless. Other times, I can't stop laughing or, worse still, I find something hilarious, but no one else does... I've noticed actually, that when people with ASD crack jokes in their speeches, quite often no one laughs. I find this quite perplexing as it's always obvious to me that they intended it to be a joke but clearly not to people who don't have ASD!
I have noticed that a lot of people don't realise when I am joking, and when I am being serious. Some of that may be due to reduced body language/expression, but I suspect a large part of it is that I just have a strange sense of humour!
