Eating Disorder

My son is 25years old and has ASD.  He attended a mixed abilities day centre and sadly he was unable to cope with noise levels and lack of structure.

He developed an eating disorder and went from eating normally to now being frightened of swallowing.

He survives on 90% liquid diet and has had numerous physical health tests with all results being normal.

He has started spitting constantly , bringing up a vast amount of sputum, which the GP says his behavioural.

The Social Services feel that he should attend another mixed abilities day centre,  but having attended last week for an hour, he became extremely distressed due to the noise.

I agree that he should be with his peers, but surely this should be inline with The SPELL Framework and focus on low arousal and low noise levels.   We have been given money to employ a PA, but unfortunately are unable to find somebody.

Are there any centres that cater for Autism only?

Any advise would be gratefully appreciated
