Really bad time

Hi, I'm having a really awful time at the moment. I've just had a disciplinary at work  where they have questioned my diagnosis. I am at a total loss as to where to turn. I admitted to an error and am now being severely punished for it, I always thought honesty was the best policy but I am being hung for my honesty. I am completely losing faith in humanity as what I always believed to be the right thing to do is turning out to be the worst thing to do. I also have loads of positive feedback in relation to how good I am at my job. I have a disability solicitor who says I have a good case but how reliable is this? p.s sometimes the only things going are some of the funny threads on here....

  • Hi Bookworm, I’m really sorry to hear that you’re having such a tough time. You are right in saying that honesty is the best policy, we have to be transparent in our practice, that’s the code we follow. It’s sad though that you are not getting treated a bit more gently given that you’ve been honest. I’m not surprised though, I’ve heard of many people being taken through disciplinary for errors. I’m going to send you a private message. Glad you like the funny threads on here
