Hello everyone

Does anyone have any experience of a Speech and Language Therapy Assessment?

What does it involve, what are they about, I can 'speak' ok, I mean I am verbal.

I've been diagnosed but this has now been suggested, is this another assessment process for ASD?

Thanks, really confused, did some research online but don't really understand it as I CAN speak.

  • I’m only aware of speech and language therapy being used where there is a problem with eating/swallowing or a problem with speech. Unless you have a problem with either of these then I don’t understand why they have been suggested to you. Maybe ask the person who suggested it what their rationale is?
