Newly diagnosed with moderate asd

I've been diagnosed within the last 2 weeks having moderate asd. Although this diagnosis was inevitable and initially I was happy to have a reason for being the way I am but since getting the diagnosis I an feeling more and more lost and anxious about this. I don't know what to do next who to talk to it how to process my emotions about it.

I'm finding myself snapping at the littlest things and I hate that and I feel like I'm pushing the people closest to me away.

I really don't know what to do or how to feel

  • Hi there, getting a diagnosis is an emotional roller-coaster afterwards and most will agree that it is not easy for the first few months to up to a year.

You start to question and analyse everything, as well as reflect on past experiences/scenarios etc.

Do you have a support network (friends, family or mental health support) to help through this stage?  It takes time to comes to terms and accept a diagnosis, so please don't be too hard on yourself.
