Autistic Cycling club?

Hello,

I have been a member of a local cycling club but recently I had to take a break from it as I was getting some verbal abuse and put downs from a member which upset me. I wonder if anyone would consider forming a cycle club aimed at Autistic adults as I keen to support people who want to ride. I am simply happy being on a bike and going for a coffee and cake so please do not feel pressured. Cycling is what you make it not about racing and TT times, something I struggle to do. I find it helps being out riding to take my mind of coping with life even though I can struggle due to my Dsypraxia but I try. I do hope to return to the local club at some point as most are good people at heart but have little knowledge of how being autistic affects me on the bike. For example, I can not ride in a chain gang situation where each rider takes turns on the front as all the moving about gets confusing for me and I go too slow or too fast and being deaf means I struggle to hear the calls. I would be more than happy to lead a ride when it warms up as the moorlands are a little chilly at 1c at present. We have some great cafes here and lots of open countryside to explore.
