second opinion please

looking for help to get a diagnosis privately (I don't want to but I need this sorted fast) I came across psychology uk, and on this website they do assessments a diagnosis digitally e.g. done over Skype that type of thing. do you think this is effective just seems a little weird to diagnose somebody without being with them in person? I can apply for this with nhs funding which I have done, I can fill out a form on the website for funding outlining my struggles and they will write a letter to my gp so see if funding is available and they will tell how likely the funding being accepted will be. 

I am looking for a diagnosis for ADD  although j feel i may be autisitc aswell if that is possible but the ADD seems the more urgent and more evident prpblem symptpm wise that i have but the channels and symptoms seems very similar to autism and I feel the people in this site are very helpful and responsive than others so what's your views on this people? thankyou

  • I used the private psychiatry service in Norwich which is listed on the NAS website for Norfolk. Was about 8 weeks from GP referring me (they do it via GP referal so it goes on your NHS records as a formal diagnosis) to having my assessment. It cost £550.

    They also do ADHD/ADD assessments.

    sorry I did see you said that before sorry if I ignored it my attention span has been terrible last few days if the others 2 fail then j will be going for this j think, was that just a straight one pay fee? because this other place (providing I don't get the nhs funding sounds a but sketchy like j think their legit in what they do like the disgnosis and assesment but it gives you a price think it was around 500 but then it's you have to pay and extra 3 pound per minute that goes over the hour then some more money for tiration3and so on I'm very suspicious anyway but I get the feeling they'll drag it out to bleed you dry and then I'm so worried I'll pay all that money and somehow they'll tell me k don't have it so they won't have to deal with me anymore but I can get co fused very easily anyway

    You can be referred to them from anywhere in the UK or indeed, the world!
