Pet hates, what are yours?

I get very irritated quite easily when people do things that I think are unacceptable and rude. I end up obsessing about it. The following are my pet hates:

People texting on mobile phone in my company, particularly when they don't ask my permission - hate the  click click sound of texting with a passion.

People snacking in my company, particularly when walking and when I am not eating. I am against people snacking in public: I think it is rude and disorderly. Snacking should be done in the home at set times - I realise I am very strict, but can't help it.

Cars mounting pavements - rude, dangerous and selfish.

People saying sorry when they don't really mean it because they repeat the behaviour. Like saying 'sorry' for being late and then being late all the time.

Some accents and ways of speaking make me annoyed.

When people touch my possessions without asking.

When people assume things without asking.

Can't stand the word 'bless' or when women say 'she says' after finishing a sentance.

Can't stand the word 'awesome'.

People who don't cover their mouth when coughing or sneezing.

People who go to work feeling ill - spreading disease is rude and selfish (not talking about colds, but about real sickness)

Homophobics, racists, sexists, and those who ridicule the disabled.

Cars - polluting, dangerous, noisy

Electric lawnmowers - noisy

People who sit opposite me on the train when there are other seats available

  •

I love tea AND chocolate - this is a pet love lol  Tongue Out

Another pet hate is when people break the rules: dogs off leads when a sign says keep them on the lead.

People cycling down narrow passage-ways when there is a no bike sign. However, I can make exceptions if people get off their bike as I walk towards them and/or say 'thank-you' if I let them pass. Can't stand bad manners in public - inside the private home is another story. I can be quite rude (I will admit it) to my parents, but am pretty polite towards other people like shop assistants etc when out in public and expect other people to do the same.

Same reason as above - people who play ball games in public parks when this is not allowed and there is a clear 'no ball-game' sign.

  • ...lots of things!

Excessive noise - I am hyper sensitive to noise - especially when I'm trying to sleep at night.  In this, dogs barking are a particular dislike.

People who judge me and make assumptions rather than ask me.

Any form of discrimination based on a person's gender, race, age etc etc

Liars - even those who think they are turthful but are not, they deceived themselves as well as others. I think autism gives un an honesty others don't always have.

People who cough and sneeze and don't cover their mouth.

There's loads more but my main hate is people invading MY space - then they get upset, I warn them if you touch me I might hit you, then they get upset when I punch them! I did warn them. I HATE BEING TOUCHED.

But I like space, lots of it like a huge beach or moorland and I love the feel of chocolate melting in my mouth and that calms me down - but it has to be Lindt Mint Intense - dark and wonderful, yum, gonna go get some now!

...I quite like accents....of any kind...I find myself imitating them

When people touch my possessions without asking.

    ........ I agree...

    Can't stand the word 'awesome'.

....a couple of months ago i might have agreed...but for some reason I have started using it?...... I think it was for the obsurd novelty at first.....

People who sit opposite me on the train when there are other seats available

....I agree... why would they do that?

from an autistic view, i have to give my partners hates, a few are,

loud eating/chewing, he really hates that, especially if you have your mouth open

'mindless chit chat' that we nts are so guilty of Laughing

he doesnt like the texting thing while talking to people either (tho some of us nts dont like that either, i think its rude, just cos we got phones doesnt mean we get rid of manners)

and of course being interrupted while doing his 'obsession/interest' and or relaxing

me personally, my main pet hate (more like my arch nemesis) is beuracracy i cant stand it, i think its the bain of society and happiness
