Hi everyone
I am new here so hopefully this is a good place.
I am 22 and was finally diagnosed with ASD earlier this year. I was referred to social services in June to see whether I would qualify for support, but am yet to be seen. Apparently on a waiting list put not high priority.
Is this the normal waiting time, or is "high functioning" autism unlikely to qualify for support? Has anybody else received support and is it worth pursuing or just giving up? I do not want to put lots more energy into asking for help if it just isn't coming. I'd really really like to know what to realistically expect.
Any advice is appreciated
