Adult Diagnosis in Bed, Bucks and Herts

Does anyone have any recent experience of getting a diagnosis of Autism as an adult in Bed, Bucks or Herts. I have been knocked back by my GP, who agrees that I am probably on the spectrum, but she had nowhere to refer me too. As a gainfully employed man in my mid 40s, there are no exacerbating factors, she said there was simply no funding for diagnosing cases like mine.

I am geographically fortunate that I can easily register for a GP in Bed, Bucks or Herts if I want to game the post code lottery. I got the knockback from a Herts GP.

Googling suggests that Bucks Adult Autism Diagnostic Service would be a possible route - there is not immediately obvious Herts equivalent. But I want to know if it is likely that I could get a referral before I move my GP to a Bucks GP. (This is not as bad as it sounds reading it back, I do actually live in Bucks and my autistic son is already registered at the GP that I would move to - he moved because we fell into the GP and School in different counties buck passing).

I thought I would ask before starting writing letters to the council about their responsibilities under the Autism Act.
