ASD, Sexuality and Relationships

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any experiences of Asperger's / High Functioning Autism, different sexualities and relationship styles? ImI a 37 year old man with Asperger's. For 10 years 've been in a monogamous marriage to a woman. But over the last few years I've come to understand myself as bisexual as I'm attracted to men too. I want to be able to express my attraction to both men and women so I don't know if monogamous marriage is right for me. I feel more drawn to a more open arrangement like an open marriage or other forms of polyamory. I guess I was wondering if my experience has anything to do with being autistic and maybe not understanding the nuances of love and relationships so well, or is it just to do with my sexual identity? If anyone has any experiences or insights here I'd be grateful. Thanks.

  • Well, as far as I know open relationship never work. But you never know.

As far as gender is concerned, I never had much with the female male division, apart from the fact that I happen to be born female. Where relationships are concerned I have only been involved with the opposite sex, but I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been females. But have never met women that attract me in that kind of way.
