my niece has autistic son 11yr old at the end of her tether.

my niece is now at a stage where she is wishing her life was now coming to a close and can't  cope with the pressures of life. her son of 11 yrs is draining her and she is desperate for respite in the school holidays and some where to take the pressure off her.

  • I would mirror Cassandro and ask what specifically your niece is finding so draining and difficult.
There might be people on the forum here who know some specific strategies or have advice you could relay to her to help things run more smoothly at home.

I would absolutely recommend the NAS parent to parent service for her too, also there are non-NAS parent partnerships that are run by volunteers who have often had similar experiences themselves (my mum used to volunteer with one).

Would she like to join the forum and discuss some things on here too? She'd be very welcome. Slight smile
