The CCG where i live have royally stitched me up, i've had to fight tooth and nail for diagnosis,Initially they wrote to me and told me they didnt have a dept for adult diagnosis and they dont do them for people within the 'normal iq range'. I had to use the Irwin Mitchell template letter to force the CCG to send me for diagnosis, i was referred to the neighbouring CCGs assesment unit., eventually i was diagnosed last year and this is where the problems have really begun, i cannot access ANY services because my diagnosis is 'out of area' WTF.
How do i challenge this and how common an occurence is it?
I'm 42 and i just want to have SOME description of a life before i hit that magical 54. (for those unaware, avg life expectancy HFA/Aspergers is 54, leading cause of death, SUICIDE.
These statistics are not an accident or some great mystery, this is holocaust; Aktion T4 to be precise. They withdraw or refuse support, gaslight you to the max and those who have no one to look out for them quietly slip off, saving the state a few quid.
Sad part of this is with just a little bit of help i could contribute greatly to society either as a taxpayer (i have a sought after trade) or in some other worthwhile manner, but as we know we are just underestimated and written off.
How many of you suffer such degrading behaviour from those who are supossed to help?
