Hi all. Husband has just had a phone call from atos asking me to go to a face to face in 21 hours for my pip claim. 21 hours! is that normal? what are they trying to do.
What happens at a face to face?
I don't want to go, this was a silly idea.

With that short notice they are going to get me at my very worst!
hubby has sent me to bed. I don't do short notice, I plan things weeks in advance. I will go but I don't know if I will be able to speak. Hubby is my carer will they let him speak?

At my f2f appointment, they simply asked me some questions in relation to what I'd written on the form. I also did a short test such as remembering a sequence of numbers. i was in and out quickly - about 15 minutes and was successful in my claim.
It sounds like someones canceled and they've offered you the next slot. If they see you at your worse, including not being able to speak for yourself, that could be a huge positive as it will clearly demonstrate some of the difficulties you face. The short wait also means you will have less time worrying overall.

I don't know the procedure. How about take doctors' reports etc & just a short signed note explaining the issues you haven't had any processing time, and your husband may have to answer for you.
