Did anything good happen today? May 2018

When the weather is fine, as it is today, I take long walks in the surrounding countryside.

I usually visit a convenient local pub to use facilities and get my favourite, half a Cider.  However the price keeps going up.  A couple of weeks ago in the town of Ilkley I paid £1.  Last week in the village of Kirk Deighton I paid £1.75.   And today in the village of Pool in Wharfdale I paid £2.15

I do realise that I am buying different brands!

I made 4 more Red Bubble sales today

Today I helped a gentleman jump start his car, we had a nice talk about the merits of his sporty two seater car. And he was very grateful for my assistance.

I also had a compliment on how I was dressed! “ may I just say sir you are very well dressed and all credit to you for making the effort”. Now that lifts my spirits very much. .

so glad others are finding positives each day, long may this thread continue.

Thanks Song. I coped better with it than I thought I might actually, though I was completely ‘wired’ by that night i.e. I absolutely could not sleep until about 3.30am despite being desperate for it, simply due to the adrenaline in my body (caused by the anxiety I had over returning to work).

...And so it begins... (!)        :-)

Today I cooked AND ate a family meal!!! This is huge for me (but I'm not going into all of the reasons why). I even had dessert, although I did share mine with the dog but dessert doesn't count so that's OK. 

I've been talking a lot about my problems for the last couple of weeks.

Today in the sunshine I went with a local walking group to clear my mind, exploring the bluebells and countryside.

Today I have enjoyed the sunshine, gardening, and spent (almost)  no time analysing my perceived  'failures' in various conversations this morning.

I forgave someone today who more or less got me so angry I never thought I'd be able to speak to them again. Last time I saw them they seriously took the piss and I ended up losing it. It felt good to let it go.

Today I survived my first day back at work following my surgery, and I taught my second guinea pig to stand up on his back legs. All in all I good day for me then, and I was very proud of my piggy, though somehow I’m not feeling that good in myself today.

Then reading that is one of the good things to happen in my day too. It's good to hear from you Song  : )  

Today I haven't cried.

Today I managed to cut my toenails. Sounds pretty inane, well it is but I have serious hypersensitivity in my feet. I no longer have feet like a falcon. I also did another day without an hour in the dark room.

More trivially I won the NBA championship in a shutout against Houston Rockets in a shutout on NBA Live. I also started sequencing a drum arrangement.

Two pretty good days, so far.....
