Question about ASD Signs, stimming?

Hi, I have a query about possible signs you might find in someone who could have ASD. I'm been made aware by others and sometimes noticed myself that I have a habit of beard picking and pulling my beard hair out, it feels like an urge to do it and sometimes I'm not aware I'm doing this I believe it's called trichotillomania or sometimes but not too often legs bobbing or I find myself, for example, when taking the bus and I'm playing say with the bus ticket n my hand constantly folding  it and seems to calm my nerves. I'm not aware or haven't been made aware that I do the stimming commonly seen in those with ASD such as clapping, clicking or involuntary hand movements.

Is it common to see all signs of stimming in those with ASD?

Maybe the things I find myself doing may be down to other related reasons.

  • In what I have read, things like leg bobbing (I do this quite a lot) can be a form of stimming. I think some people find stims that are less noticeable to others. I often fiddle with things to or click my pen top or chew my necklace. I have recently gotten a small fidget cube and a small infinity cube which I can fiddle with discretely when out and about and they really help.
