Of course it is an illusion and nothing more, so is the NAS that just under 80 percent government funded and charities commission are toothless donkey's.

Without a name the whole situation goes pearshaped, some of us realize how illogical and a crock of brown smelly stuff it is.

But we should not be critical of those yet to comprehend the true situation.

That is so true. Hypocrisy is at play here. While us plebs are lambasted for being on benefits, no-one seems to notice that the Royals are born into riches AND they receive millions of pounds worth of tax-payers money a year. Talk about lack of consistency

I got a letter Saturday and it wound me right up all weekend, spoke to social worker and told him there was 85% chance I'd smack someone as already wound up.

Their risk assessment means I won't need to go  oh and if you see my night of long knives thread your see I'm actively pursuing local authority.

Yes, it stinks, it really does. And I am very angry, too. They should take account of our needs - I thought that that was what the Autism Act and Strategy were there for?. Many people can't cope with the work related activity groups under the new ESA. I still have to find out what part of ESA I will be under - I really hope I am not put in work-related activity group. I am a motivated, driven person, who does loads of voluntary work and wants to work, but my Asperger's means I can't cope with mainstream Job-Centre arrangements.  Moreover, compulsory attendance at risk of losing benefits is punitive, patronizing, and a load of ****.

Gennerally the populations IQ is low enough for them to be led like sheep

Yes I did write to Liz as the advice on the website says to write how you feel most comfortable with.

After abandoning her two disabled relatives in mental institutions/care homes I don't hold out much hope.

But then I believe I'm the unwanted section of society and to be honest if they could gas us they most likely would.

I am seeing the very real effects of cuts and ATOS health care have managed to kill 33 people in a month who were deemed fit to work and obviously were not. 

Better off writing to your local MP, and don't give up, do it repeatedly. Arrange a meeting with your MP, write to 10 Downing Street, write to the elected representatives. The Queen is just an unelected figure-head, and I don't think she will change anything. She didn't stop the Health and Social Care legislation from going through, which punishes the disabled, although if she cared enough, she could have refused to sign it. No, the Queen is a deadweight

Does NAS have templates to assist people on the spectrum who want to write to Royalty or other high status offices? Moderators - can you look into this please.....if you want us to write to our MPs and Scrutiny Committee Chairs about NAS campaigns, it is vital that we have some guidance on how to progress lobbying and petitioning on our own accounts.

It can pay to solicit help from such personages, but I'm not sure, even in the circumstances you are faced with, being rude or blunt will achieve anything. You needed to engage her sympathy and her willingness to say something in the right places.

Also you don't want Special Branch checking your background, and it takes a lot less than that to get them doing so.

Royalty are only there through position I have no belief they are any better than us, seeing as local authority are penalising me I have used it as part of my retaliation.

My thoughts is enough different avenues-sooner or later something will stick as I feel I'm being victimised for financial motive of cost cutting.

You may be pleasantly surprised. However grim a letter the Queen often replies sympathetically, though to what extent that's actually done by staff I don't know.

It does raise the question whether NAS has made any such representations. One that strikes me as obvious is the Prince of Wales re initiatives for young people - is he aware of the difficulties faced by people on the spectrum during transition?

Royalty should only be approached though to ask for their support towards others, eg NAS resolving issues. Does NAS have advice on this? (I know I ought to hunt for it on the website but I'm too lazy).

After her private apartments were entered by someone with a mental health problem who proceeded to try to engage her in conversation, they seem to have become pretty protective towards the Queen as regards anything from that perspective. Did you actually tell he you were going to hell on a handcart, or did you explain your circumstances logically?

many would say that what i think is dark and worng but i know that the world is a bad place for people with AS and austim why must some normal people be so blind to us
