Self-Harm

I don't know whether i'm over stepping the mark talking about self harm on here but hope i'm not breaking any rules or anything as it's not intentional i promise.

I've hurt myself again today. Don't worry it's not serious and i see my GP tomorrow and intend on telling her so it's all good.

Just feel so sad suddenly.

I'm talking to a friend which is good cos she is supportive.

May go bed so i can calm.

Any tips?

  • Hi Anne

It sounds, from this and "Justice for my friends", like you really need to talk to that doctor.  Let us know how you get on.

For what little it may be worth, the closest I ever came to self harm was when my five year old daughter died - a very long time ago now.  There seemed to be something wrong in feeling such a terrible pain and not being able to 'see' a consequence, a feeling that an injury of some kind would make a sort of sense out of it.  I never quite got to doing it and I'm not sorry.  I don't think it would have made much difference.

Loss - of a friend, or a beloved parent or even a child, does eventually get easier, though you'll never be able to forget and would not want to.

I have never set eyes on you, but I promise you that you should be taking care of yourself and that you do matter, even when it is not obvious to you.

    I hope you get/got a good night's sleep.
