Newly diagnosed and looking to make neurodivergent friends

Hello! My name's Chloe, and I've recently been diagnosed with autism at the age of 32. I'm a high masking autistic female.

I've always felt different, but it's only over the last few years that I've learned more about autism in women, specifically high-masking women, and discovered that I was autistic myself.

I've always struggled to make and maintain friendships, due to working from home and not having the opportunity to meet people, but also due to feeling very different to neurotypicals and unable to relate to them. I don't have anyone else around me who is neurodivergent.

I'd really like to make like-minded friends and find a community.

I live in the North West of England with my husband and our cat and I work in marketing.

My interests include gaming, reading, writing, music, crafts, collecting handbags and astrology. I'm also currently learning to speak Mandarin Chinese!

I hope to hear from you soon! Slight smile

  • Hi chloem

    How are you?

Welcome to the online community Thumbsup

I'm Gwen, and late newly diagnosed middle-aged female. I also have a cat and have many interests, such as crafting (mainly knitting and crochet), and enjoy reading, to name a few zany face. I don't currently work (though I volunteer), as I went back to uni during the pandemic.

I'm not always here, but it would be nice to share thoughts, experiences, support? Hugging (Sorry, love an emoji or 2...or more Grinning)
