Why would you....
So many questions here - but I am not sure I can provide the answers.
Don't start getting irked if there isn't one that meets your curiosity level !

Thank you! Doing much better now, new antibiotics and I am right as rain and snow
there's a thread about the ice - cream. I'll have to try find it!
I'll have a look too!
send me a message some time if you want a chat, I am sorry you've been unwell.

I’ve been seriously ill with my tonsils. I even have a Dr’s note to prove it
Throws out my response to Miss Plum back in the day at school…I’m sorry it won’t happen again (Already plotting my next trick to get out of lessons).
Joking OC I was an absolute angel at school !!
Unrelated but, did You get an ice cream in the end??? Was there one in the weird building you photographed above? Secret ice cream parlour inside
There's a Public Park, close to me, with a similarily built loo; only without that thatched roof.
We have a similar designed thing by the community centre. It's the sports shed where they store all the sport related items looks similar, except it’s painted pale green. Similar roofing though, also had birds nesting in it some years ago and I think the damp had affected it as well.
It was replaced but with plastic roofing, I guess they couldn't afford the 29k.
Crazy to think those cost around 29k… I don’t know why but I thought it would be a lot cheaper than that.
OK. So the story is that the Local Authority paid £29,000 for a new roof for these toilets as the old one was ruined.
Birds were nesting in it. It was essentially rotten. Because they are in a conservation area, they keep the original roof, rather than change to a more conventional (and cheaper to maintain) design.
If it was Minecraft, they'd probably charge for visitors!
Repurposed presumably.
Yes, and with much argument. Thatch isn't cheap, not least because so few know the skill these days.
Eventually it will rot & you can bet nobody will have the funds to replace it so what happens then?
well I certainly didn't think of that. clearly the correct answer!
Agree you can see a showers sign too, some kind of changing rooms? Is there a sports thing nearby?
It’s a flatpack shower block with loos; the incorrect size of prefabricated thatched roof was sent.
It's a thatched toilet - you can see the ladies + gents signs.
Most odd.
Repurposed presumably.
It looks like a cross between a cricket pavillion and a round house, a most peculiar structure!
