Nice sunny day yesterday, so I bought a South Pennine Day Ranger, giving me unlimited train travel in the area below.
I visited several towns including the village of Marple Bridge with the cottages below. Rumours are that Agatha Christie also visited the place and named one of her characters after the place.

This is Nelson, he was a one eyed seal that used to visit the area. This statue was placed on the rocks after he died.
