yuk I’m lactose intolerant but wasn’t a thing in 60s so by the afternoon used to have stomach ache.

Me neither. We used to be given ours outside so I'd secretlyish pour it away on the grass.
The Auld Kirk in Alloway
found on the beach in Ayr, apparently it's a Barrel jellyfish, it about 20" across. There were dozens of them washed up.
