I watched Doctor Who (Twice Upon A Time).
I also watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Love that film, so old but it reminds me of my Gran - I used to watch it with my Gran all the time.

The one you mean is "I dream of Jeannie".
I used to watch Bewitched as a child, as well as the genie one I can’t remember the name? Not seen either since….
Thanks Sweetums I agree about the historical stuff, especially the ancient cultures, Roman era is the most interesting to me, especially the Republic era. Your school sounds similiar to my primary school, we once had a day at school where we went back in time to Victorian school era which was a lot of fun. I was thinking about streaming Band of Brothers, I dont have a DVD or Bluray player but thanks for the link though.
I've just watched Adolescence which I most liked. Wasn't so keen on episode 3.
I'm also watching the Resident. It's good for having something on in the evenings but I wouldn't say I'm really in to it.
I still find Chitty very entertaining, the windmill is not far from where I’m from.
Two things link Chitty to the James Bond films, both were written by Ian Fleming and the Baron Bomburst actor also starred as Goldfinger.
*** Van *** was actually older the Lionel Jeffries who played his father in Chitty.
Sorry I easily go into special interest mode!
Great British Menu, Great Pottery Throwdown, Virdee, Death in Paradice, Gogglebox, Gardeners World, Sort your Life Out with Stacey Solomon.
Me too. The school I went to as a child was an old Victorian school (sadly it's flats now) and I remember being so amazed and interested in it. I spent so much time in the library, researching, trying to find out about its history. Whoops, just saw his name is censored. My bad! There’s just something so fascinating about history, isn’t there? Especially things that have survived, like books, buildings, clothing and antique items. It is all so interesting.
You can pick up Band of Brothers on ebay here for a good price
I got my own DVD set from ebay about 8 years ago!
I am big fan of old buildings too, from an early age I have had a big love of castles and other various ruins e.g. Stonehenge. No wasn't aware that he is 99 he is doing well, I do like my historical stuff, ancient history is my big passion but will soak in most history stuff. Yes I have watched Band of Brothers and agree it was a great programme, very well made. I could watch it again but not sure where to find it these days?
I loved the castle as well! I love old looking buildings, like castles and churches, the old styling architecture is gorgeous. Did you know the actor from it *** Van *** is still alive? I looked him up last night and he’s 99 years old now! I love everything to do with WW1 & WW2. Have you ever watched Band of Brothers? It’s really good, the real life soldiers are in it and talk about the War. It’s one of my fave WW2 things to watch.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a classic film, I love the castle they use in that film, Neuschwanstein would like to see it for real. I've been watching a few documentaries around WW2 and the cold war. Run out of ancient historical documentaries sadly....apart from that watched a few TV type shows
