Do you live in your own home or rented?
But have to have it decorated to your requirements as it makes you feel stressed if it not?
Mine in all pink
what style do you have to have it in for you?

When did you move Sparkly? If it’s ok to ask. Is a council house still one where you pay a mortgage but they own the ‘shell’? I had something like that here for a while. Now I’m in a co-own arrangement where an agency owns 40% and I pay rent for that bit, mortgage for the rest. It’s a little less than a standard mortgage and that helps a lot!
I live in my mums house. I guess it is mine now but it'll always be mum's to me - it could do with redecorating, the walls needs new paint and the carpets need redoing. But I don't really want to change it.
Mum was really into art so a lot of the rooms have paintings in them, some I think were really expensive, my mum knew all painting's and art. I don't sadly.
Maybe I'll look at doing some redecorating this year, during the summer ^^
That’s lovely. Concrete and stone - comfortingly ‘bunker’-y. I like that a lot
I live in a council house. The first thing I did when I moved in was to decorate it, as prior to me moving in it had been re-wired. Things have changed since then (at least with my local authority), as they now redecorate properties before tenants move in. Previously, tenants would get a decorating grant.
In my previous home, I liked to experiment a bit more. I guess it was the novelty of it being my first home and knowing I could decorate however I wished. My current home is mostly painted cream, as more economical to buy several tins of the same shade of paint. To break up the blandness of the cream-coloured walls, I accessorise with different-coloured furnishings and pictures.
I bought my present home in 2019 and having vacant possession was able to decorate it throughout in neutral shades of concrete and stone, this I used as the background for my collection of enamel signs and original art. I am obsessed with patterns in shape and colour so it’s a perfect expression of my mind now and makes me feel so happy, safe, at peace.
but blue in the bathroom like the sea
Nice warm vibe
Pink is lovely and a happy colour. I have my hall painted yellow it is like sunshine, nice on dull days.
Yes I could go with a nice floral if it’s muted enough! Pink sounds nice.
that sounds lovely. Yes lines on wall paper is not good I hate it if too busy. although I like florals.
I moved into my house a year and a half ago. I mostly like how it’s decorated by the last people but did paint one room a sort of soft warm grey. Boring maybe but I find it restful on the eyes. The only room that I couldn’t stand the decor in was the back/spare bedroom which was a childrens room (previous occupants) and the wallpaper was a sort of migraine of clashing wavy lines in Different colours. About two months back a stripped it all off, and will get a much plainer replacement sorted soon. I think I’d like it to be a quiet and uncluttered reading room with an armchair in time.
my favourite room is my living room: nice and long but still cosy and with a big floor to ceiling picture window looking out to a secluded back garden. I have a piano which I think just really tied the homely feel together too.
