Ooh which Latin jazz? Any particular artist or composer?

I'm a little bit aware of Paco de Lucía, João Gilberto and a few of the Tango Nuevo composers.

Pretending it's Sunday and listening to Latin Jazz. 

Pop music and 60s music

Oldie. The voice, the timing, the smoothness, the orchestra ( anyone play with an orchestra these days ? ) 81 years old.  

Apparently Bipolar, abused/traumatised . So emotive yet so beautiful. R.I.P. 

Could he sing any emotion ?

1. I have played Lungs a couple of times recently, it has grown on me some. I thought the album was a bit uneven at first, great tracks, good in places, but overall, not really hanging together, but I am liking it more now. I love the gothic overtones and overdone theatre on Cermoninisls, (Seven Devils!) can't say her third album grew on me so much though. As for the introspective, confessional thing she is up to now.....no thanks. She was criticised for hiding behind her choir before, the kind of criticism that would seriously, really anmoy me. Now she is sooooo real. Well........ok. I suppose. 

In a funny old mood today, a post rock kind of mood.  Got a particular tune in mind but I've forgotten the name of the band.

Some great choices here guys I much approve of. Amy and the Ramones get a thumbs up from me.

My husband and I are big folkies and my interest in Italian folk is rooted in my family history investigations. I am rather proud that their native northern Lombardia was a major force in the resistance to fascism. They arrested Mussollini right by the village my ancestor's come from on the shore of Lake Como.

With that, I listen often to this...Bella Ciao! An old Italian folk song, seconded with new lyrics by the partisans and sung here by my favourite half Irish (got a lot of those in my tree too) half Italian folk band; Modena City Ramblers. Once the pandemic is over, I just got to see them live.

Always gives me a good vibe.... 

I have set my phone just to play songs, not albums. Great way to remember and relate to old tunes! 

Listened to 'Isis' by Bob Dylan earlier this evening.

Funny how he mentioned 'the fifth day of May' in that song. That's my brother's birthday; he'll be 32 this year.

Loving this song at the moment, love her voice and it's catchy.
