How do I delete a thread I started?

Dear AstronutAlex,

To delete a thread you should have the options to delete/edit a post in the 'More' tab on the bottom of your original post. If you click on the delete tab, it should remove the thread completely.

I'm afraid I don't have the delete option. 

I am also not allowed to delete my own posts.

But I can edit them. For example, remove all of the text.

It does not make much sense to me.

I understand you are frustrated. 

Please can you contact the Community Manager with details of the thread you want deleted (in the meantime, you could 'Edit' your original post to remove content) and also let them know that you do not have the option to delete the entire thread yourself?

I understand that, but a thread should be deleteable by the owner.

I think it can no longer be deleted once someone replies directly to it! But as others have said you can EDIT it completely and take some or all of the words out, maybe leave a short reason why but that is entirely up to you.
