This seems to be happening a lot here now, starting with the AI stuff a few weeks back. I can't lie, after one of my posts was reported a few weeks ago I decided I didn't want to post on here anymore. I'll reply to people and threads I think that are very interesting. I'm replying here because I guess I want to get it off my chest a bit.
Personally I think there needs to be rules on reviving old threads and trying to keep discussions more contained as well. Also, there is a big difference between a topic like "Does anyone else like Disney movies" and "WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON *divisive current event*". As the OP hasn't specified why he's upset, I can only offer that baseless theory.
