When your voice not being heard

Have you ever had those moments when your voice isn't heard?

Whenever I'm talking to someone, and they know I'm talking to them, sometimes they will cut me off or talk over me. Or they will turn to talk to someone else when I'm in mid-sentence.

Another time, I'm talking about something very important, and other people don't take it in,

Whenever I tell a joke or something funny, some people take it seriously or vice versa. When I talk about something important, some people will take it as a joke. Or when I give someone an answer to a question, and they don't believe me, and then when someone else says the same things that I said, the person believes them,

Has anyone ever been in those types of situations?

  • Yes, apparently part of the reason is I don't read the signals, to tell how far to expand what I say, the level of detail, or just the levwl of interest etc On the other hand, sometimes a yes, no or short one sentence response to something is not always enough
