I was recently diagnosed with ASD a few weeks ago, and was pointed in this direction.

How do you feel about getting your diagnosis? Mixed feelings? Positive?

I've been largely positive, although there was a incident the other day, but I've since got back on track. I did feel a sense of relief after being diagnosed, I felt a weight off my back, since I was wondering what was wrong with me for years.
Same here... and I didn't get mine until I was 56! At 25, though, I suspected something was wrong. I just felt 'odd'. Always have. Like the cat in a room full of dogs!

Same here. I wouldn't be any other way. A lifetime of being on the 'outside' in many ways makes me feel grateful I'm not a part of all that stuff. But yes... for years, it was 'anxiety', 'depression,' 'SAD,' 'not trying hard enough,' etc. I look at people of 25 now and think 'If that's how they were when I was that age, they must've thought I was about 12.' Emotionally, I was.
To be honest... I wouldn't change a thing, though!

Same here, mate, social situations have always been awkward for me, my sister even pointed out years ago, that I could have Asperger's (she is a qualified psychologist) but everyone initially just attributed it to Anxiety, which was quite frustrating, I've always been a bit introverted, to be honest, I quite like being "odd" as you describe it!
