Hi, undiagnosed and need help

Hi to you all here,

I am not really sure how to start or explain this but i would really apreciate your help.

I just moved to London from EU country and have been here for 2 months now. One of my main reasons was so i can get tested for aspergers because not only i dont trust anyone in my country but its something i dont want to and cant do there. I am not sure tough how i can get tested as a foreign person since i dont have a doctor or anything like that. I have been thinking about this for couple of years now and its something that has been bothering me a lot. I am a 24 years old female. I have read a lot about aspie females and I can recognize myself and find too many things that i can relate for comfort.

I am trying to get information to get tested but everything is too overwelming for me at this point and i just seem to be unable to process half of the things that are happening to me.

If someone could give me any tips where to look or what to do I would be so gratefull.

  • Hi alterea,

To find out if you have an autism spectrum disorder you would need to have a formal diagnostic assessment. Please see the following links for further information about diagnosis and the benefits of getting one:

If you have any further questions relating to this, the team at the Autism Helpline may be able to provide you with information and advice. You can call them on 0808 800 4104 (Monday to Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday 9am to 3pm), although please note that the Helpline is experiencing increasingly high demand, and you may not reach them straight away.
