Help in Hackney, London

I have severe autism burnout for decades and severe anxiety because of that. I don’t want medications but help from people, people who are trained for autism related anxiety. I eat my nails every day. They bleed every day. My anxiety is not hysterical or acute or hypochondriac regretfully induced. I don’t need help like “contact Samaritans” or “call 111” or “did you speak to your GP”, please. They have no idea about the autism. Thank you.

  • Hello

Thank you for reaching out, it really isn't the easiest of things to do in a time of crisis.

You really do deserve support from individuals who understand and respect what you are going through, it can be belittling to be called hysterical for experiences that are very real - while    is correct in that we do have a resource directory, I'd like to also share the following NAS approved resources:

Autistic fatigue - a guide for autistic adults - A brief guide to burnout.

Anxiety - A brief guide to Anxiety.

Home | London Autism Group Charity - A london based charity in support of autistic individuals.

Space To Be You - A hackney based charity in support of autistic individuals.

I hope that you manage to find a way forward, you really do deserve to feel safe and comfortable in who you are.

    Thanks - Zac Mod.
