I scream at my brain daily. Turns out it's autism

Hello! I am currently at work, dealing with a customer and whoops... I've joined the national autistic society community forum.

I was diagnosed in 2017, i was 21 and it was a shock...to my parents, not to me, i had questioned it since i was a teenager.

I also have some issues with ADHD, my parents rolled their eyes and said i clearly don't have ADHD, as I'm not disruptive.. my response was just 'are you sure about that?'

it's the whole reason my dad wouldn't home school me as I refused to listen and ended up doing anything to not do school work. except it was just marked as 'teenage behaviour'  which my parents would watch to see I never grew out of. So it is a surprise to everyone where after my 15 session of CBT therapy ft. AUTISM! where my therapist asks if I want to be screened for ADHD, where after she nods and askes if I want to be put down for an assessment.

yippe! AuDHD lets go! that can join my lovely pile of issues, along with 'learning difficulty' which I'm pretty sure is dyslexia, because my dad is a professional dyslexic.

I moved out of my parents house at 29, moved in with my best friend of 13 years. She likes to play games with me like 'how long will it take for this person to put the dishes away if I leave them' where the answer is always, I just leave them. she would alter her scheme by, only putting away dishes she's washed, where I do notice. I go 'oh she's put her dishes away' as I pick up the bowl I previously washed to reuse again.

We had a verbal agreement starting late last year, where i wash the dishes and she puts them away. we both loved this, as she hates washing the dishes and needs to put them away, where I hate putting things away but love washing dishes! this was the dream team! But no one told me or updated me where these rule stopped existing. where I get a rather angry looking flatmate, disgusted how I refuse to put the dishes away; I was washing her spoon at the time. surely I should of noticed? as the washing up clean tray was full. I did notice, but the thought 'oh I should put this away' never came into my head.

not trying hard enough, lazy god for nothing, slovenly are words thrown in my direction on a regular basis... and it turns out my flat mate was discussing online with the idea of kicking me out. I think this is hypothetical... who knows, I don't.

But it does make me question whether I'm a bad person.  But why is this so tiering,  I come home form work at 7pm drained , and i leave for work at 7am drained. AND WHY DO I CRAVE APPLE JUICE SO MUCH

why not make a simple contract and stick it on the fridge door, including any routine responsibilities like taking out the rubbish, doing a deep clean, cleaning the floors etc.

When it is agreed in writing then there will be no more of these squabbles.

Also the process of agreeing things should clear the air and improve the relationship, unless of course this attitude from them is not caused by something else happening in their life and you are just an easy scapegoat.
