Hello

Hello, I was diagnosed last year after going through a two and a half year process. It wasn’t a surprise to me but it’s made me think about do many things I didn’t realise where signs of autism. I’m late diagnosed in my fifties. Does anyone else find labelling how they feel difficult? Also when people aren’t with me I don’t really miss them and I always thought this made me , I don’t know, emotionally stunted or lacking.

  • I intellectualise my feelings, I find it much easier. Although I tend not to really have many emotions. I don’t miss people either, not because I don’t care, because if they are out of my sight or contact then they don’t exist until I see or speak to them again. I find the lack of feelings a plus. I just wouldn’t have the mental capacity to miss people. It’s definitely a bonus in my opinion.
