Meltdowns

I currently feel like having a meltdown in public and I’m trying my best not to does anyone have any coping mechanisms for it

    You're very welcome to the Online Community. I hope that you enjoy being a part of this space where so many other people really understand the kinds of things you're going through. 

    You haven't said anything about your circumstances or what made you feel overwhelmed. I hope that things have started to feel a bit better for you since then.  

    The preceding factors for meltdowns and for autistic fatigue and burnout are the same eg overwhelm, sensory overload and pressure to mask.     Our Know Yourself series is a set of free resources which includes videos and downloadable guides- it's aimed at helping teenagers understand what being autistic means. The information on energy accounting however is often useful for people of any age.
