Phone call from nurse about sons pip application! Is this normal??

Hi, i posted the other day about my sons pip application and how worried I was about the prospect of a face to face assessment.

tonight I had a phone call from a nurse who asked questions like on the form and then said she would send her report to the dwp!! Is this normal? Does this mean he doesn't have to go for a face to face?. I was so flustered I didn't think to ask her before she rang off!.

    I had to go to a f2f for both of my PIP applications (initial application and renewal). Although that's what happens to most people it can be awarded without a f2f. It sounds like from your application they knew how stressful a f2f would be so have avoided this?
