Do all autistic adults have either OCD or ADHD?

It seems that a lot of autistic adults have OCD or ADHD - the OCD ones like everything to be clean and tidy, and the ADHD ones seem to have difficulty in organising stuff.

Do you have either of these? If so, how do they affect your day to day functioning?

I have OCD and I love a clean and tidy environment, and although I find bathing or showering a bit boring I feel better for doing it. I am highly organised with money, budget setting, paying bills, etc, and like recording things in a spreadsheet or making lists. I also do meal planning each week before doing my online shopping order. I cannot stand lateness either, but I'm not sure if that's an OCD thing?

  • I believe I have OCD too. I do like things to be neat and tidy, but I also have some annoying things which I have to do to feel safe. I didn't know that this was a thing when I was young. Some I have worked at to stop, but there are other rituals which I believe are due to autism as they just help me feel more content. I couldn't do online shopping without planning meals first. I think not liking lateness is more aligned to autism as it helps to feel more content and prepared.

  • I am OCD, especially with hand washing but I also seem to have an OCD thing with numbers. Like if I do things a certain number of times and then I realise I didn’t like the number of times I did the thing, I have to repay until I get a satisfactory number. I also like to keep things clean and tidy but then I procrastinate about tidying up or doing things boring which I was told is a small part of ADHD but I have had that ruled out, for now at least. I have EUPD, C PTSD and BDD. Everything is a bunch of letters
