What have you achieved recently??

A=BCD

What have you achieved lately? List whatever you like, big or small…

I haven’t achieved much sadly. I was on a bit of a downer these last few months as Snowflake, my cat, died suddenly. As she was literally my only friend losing her has hit harder than I imagined it would.

Anyway, one thing I’ve achieved is that every Saturday I’ve been going in to town and having a hot chocolate in the coffee shop. This is huge for me. I always feel anxious and part of me says ‘Are you nuts!?’ but I make myself do it and generally I feel OK when in there and enjoy it.
The coffee shop has been doing an Autistic Morning every Saturday, like our local Morrisons where they dim the lights and don’t play any music so autistic customers don’t get overwhelmed. If they hadn’t done this I wouldn’t have stopped for a hot chocolate the first time.

Definitely a big achievement for me!

    Well done! I’m glad you were able to get your account again, not an easy task at the moment from what I’ve read. I’m a veteran. Feel so old now. Lol. I first joined around 2019/2020, so luckily creating an account has been easier than getting access to original accounts by the sound of it. Posting is hard though, everything keeps getting flagged as spam which can be upsetting. I've really enjoyed the autistic morning.

    I've been here since late Spring since just before my diagnosis. I've made some brilliant friends, and also seem some lovely people go and come. That can actually be a touch traumatic, which I would never have believed 6 months ago.

    It was A=BCD, it’s always been my go to online name if the site in question allows an equals = in the name. YouTube and ebay don’t unfortunately. I've been quiet a while, had a bit of rl stuff to get through. Yours is a new name, so welcome and hello! I’ve seen Desmond and Roy are still here who I’ve known on the forum for a while now but  a lot of the names I knew originally have gone over time sadly.
