Or maybe only popping by to say hello now. Since the "upgrade", I've had messages removed as offensive, as spam and now they're threatening to stop my whole account. I don't seem to be able to get onto a log in page to change back to being TheCatWoman, so I feel as though I'm being punished. I've been told that one of my posts was flagged as offensive by someone and has been removed and another is under appeal, I've no idea what was offensive or against site rules in the post that has been removed, it was a fairly bland political post neither for or against anyone in particular.

Are we expected now to say nothing that could cause any possible offence to anybody?

Are we no longer allowed to express an opinion?

Who decides what is flagged? Is it one negative tick from one poster who may not like us?

Will we only be able to send vague and bland questions and thoughts in case "somebody" finds them offensive?

Well actually I find that notion offensive, the idea that there can be a chat board for a specific group of people, only we're not allowed to actually say anything that may help us make connections is absurd. I'm not a free speach warrior, but this does feel like normal converations are under attack, what's worse is whilst one may appeal there's no reasons or guidance given as to what the offensive content was. I'm left asking myself who or what flagged my post up as abusive and who or what decided to remove it? Was it human or was it an algorhythm? With no guidance as to how to avoid this alleged abuse, I'm left feeling hurt, confused, unrepresented and very angry, this is suposed to be a supportive place, not one that censors us when we're already a group that suffers from not knowing social rules and have problems communicating to others.

  • Oh my Lord - I’ve had this weird message too! I know 100% that I’ve not put anything offensive on here as it’s against my very being to hurt other peoples feeling or be rude to people! I’m so sorry that others are experiencing this - doing this to autistic people is going to cause them an immense amount of distress! Whoever is running this is making  a complete mess of it! ‘Upgrade’ ?! It’s obviously a shambles that is causing distress to people in this community! How TERRIBLE.

    Hi, This upgrade has been coming for the last year, I imagine it wasn’t cheap, I too would have thought it would have been tested. I don’t like to criticise as I know a lot of people work hard behind the scenes. Hope it all gets sorted out soon, I’ve missed your posts.

    Yes, I received a message about a post flagged as abuse from several months ago, no idea. Nothing happened at the time! Also I'm not abusive. It's a bit upsetting Neutral face

    I also can't login (Pegg) and didn't really want a new account. 

    Hope it all gets sorted soon, as I feel these issues will put people off the forum.

    "I were desperate for help and reaching out then being told my cry for help was abuse or spam would be enough to send me over the edge." - Yes, I made a very similar point in my 'appeal' to reinstate another post. People come here for support and validation, not to be told in an impersonal fashion that their views are wrong - autistic people experience enough rejection in real life.

    It does feel personal and if I were sesperate for help and reaching out then being told my cry for help was abuse or spam would be enough to send me over the edge.

    Another thing I've noticed and this is why it does feel personal is that any criticism of this site seems to get marked as abuse.

    I think NAS should ask for it's money back from whoever unleashed this bug filled program on us, I've known many computer programmers in my time, people doing really important and/or complicated stuff that would cause accidents and deaths if it was released as buggy as this is. Was this new site ever tested or was it just thrown together and let loose?

    I received the same message last night, I found it upsetting as I’ve done nothing to warrant this. I have also had to create a temporary account.

    A few days ago we emailed you about your user account. That message was to let you know about an issue with your account: The user was identified as abusive by community members.

    You have until  to send us an appeal using this form. Note that if you don't appeal this issue, your account will be permanently deleted on .

    I have no idea what message was 'abusive'. It is rather upsetting and unnecessary if this is all due to the upgrade.

  • I know the feeling. First I couldn’t log in because I hadn’t received a password change link and second was that my post was flagged/reported when I had only just posted. They accepted the post in the end but then I went to edit the post and remove something before reposting and it was flagged again *sighs*. I prefer the old website, I’ve made a new post putting as little information as I can and that posted fine. It looks like we can’t post personal things anymore which is hard when we need advice for these things, and that’s why we post on here for help.

    I don't think there is another site, unless it's on faceache or somethng that i don't use.

    But I'm very disapointed with the changes so far, I would of thought that there would be fewer bugs for a start, to me it seems inconcievable that something so buggy could be allowed out untested. If I were NAS I'd be asking for my money back from whoever created this new set-up.

    The site feels eviserated with few of the previous memebers posting and new posts being held up, if I had just joined the site and found all these problems I wouldn't be back.

  • Please hang on in there. Even if you just wait until these problems are sorted. It looks personal, but it isn't personal. It's the pesky 'pooters.

  • That happened to me as well and I made a complaint about it and they sorted it out.

    Ive had the same issue dont worry. Yesterday i made an account and made my biography. It got marked as spam even though i hadnt posted it anywhere. The auto detection is probably on a rampage. Is there anouther site or something to use

  • I'm replying to myself as this was a thread that was marked as abuse and spam.

    From what the post from the moderators said we have an overmighty algorythum that believes its a member and can be offended.
