Is it time for me to leave the nest?

My family spend less time together, my parents going on trips out of the country, my siblings spending more time with their friends, partners and jobs, and I'm stuck at home, billy no mates, with only a couple of noisy, messy and irritating pets for company.  I'm stuck living for other people, burned out from cleaning up, summer heat and shopping for food with precious respite arriving in the silence of night.

I think it's time for me to consider living more independently, learn to make myself attractive to people, rebuilding my job prospects and finding work, and eventually find a cosy flat somewhere decent and not an epic commute away from necessities.

  • Sounds like a good plan. It is possible, I did it, to improve on one's abilities in interactions with people intellectually. I researched the non-verbal communication that neurotypical people do, facial expressions, body language etc., and it helped my ability to socialise to a considerable extent.
