Autism Coupled with Mood Disorders

Got autism I might have a mood disorder too, maybe bipolar?

Not sure. Doctor mentioned it once, but I was not convinced. Keep hitting deep lows, feeling depressed often but never act on it. Scared to tell my therapist cause I don't wanna be hospitalized. I get angry easily, and it comes out in my tone, even if I'm not mad at anyone nearby. When alone, I feel angry, sad. They keep coming back, making me feel stuck. I try to cope by staying in, watching TV, but it's not enough.Just doing everyday things feels like a huge struggle. What's wrong with me? Can anyone relate?

  • Yes I can relate, it’s not only frustrating but it’s exhausting too! My psychiatrist thinks my mood swings are related to Borderline Personality Disorder. I haven’t really got any advice as such, but just try hang in there, no matter how difficult it can feel.

I’ve been having to literally force myself to do things, in the hope that it might help lift my low moods, even if I don’t want to. Sometimes it’s worked, other times it hasn’t, but you might as well try something even if you don’t want to, can’t make moods any worse so might as well try something
