Does anyone know what's happening with it?
I've tried to get to the bottom of it, looking all over including gov, but no definitive answers.
It seems like gov is hoping to kill some of us off again (like during the full pandemic), as it appears that the booster is only for over 65s, immunosuppressed, and frontline staff?
Any other health problems, like asthma etc, we appear not to be getting it?
I hear that US is offering it to all citizens, yet UK is hardly giving it to anyone and you can't get it privately either??? WTF? I'm sure they want to cull the herd again....??
yeah but it's the mutations and new strains, and the protection we had will be seriously waning now
possibly it's at the discretion of the practice, how stringent are they (or caring?), I had far more than was required for cat 6, but yet I fell through all the cracks and was doing my nut (petrified out of my mind about getting covid), my partner was vaccinated like 2 months before me?? When he made a stern complaint they called me in immediately!
In general, previous covid vaccinations will help protect against any serious health effects due to contracting covid, though probably not against the chance of becoming infected. Anyone who has been vaccinated in the past will not be immunologically naive to the covid virus, the long-term immunological memory will recognise infection.
Perhaps the combination of being 62, asthmatic and autistic pushed me over the threshold?
wow, that's a sizeable chunk of cash, my partner said he'd pay whatever to get it??
I keep seeing people coughing in the supermarket etc., last week I see a mother and toddler both going round opening coughing with mouths hanging open. I'm worried!
I'm asthmatic too but heard zero from the gp, from what I read online, it's not included??
I have a covid jab due on Thursday, but I'm asthmatic.

That's my understanding. As an ECV person during the pandemic it's a bit surprising to find I won't get a booster this year.
I believe it will be possible to buy a vaccination next year, at around £150.
is that for asthma or lung issue or something else?
already had the flu jab, but heard zero about the covid one??
I have a combined COVID / FLU jab booked for next Saturday 14 October at my GPs surgery.
