In school I got bullied mercilessly.
Why did no one defend me?
I went to the headmaster and teachers, they ignored me.
A few years later I got raped by a man even though I'm straight and male.
When I told NHS staff they couldn't care less.
Why is the UK so cruel?
I’ve beem sexually assaulted by a man. I’m a man - straight. People find it funny
What I find interesting is that if I was a woman who said what I'd just said, people would be falling over themselves to help me. Hypocrisy much?
Being a woman that is a rape survivor I find this highly offensive. We don’t have people falling over themselves to help us so where you got that idea from I do not know.
I don't care if you find it offensive. I did nothing wrong. I stated I got raped. Now you're trying to hijack the thread to make it about you.
Nothing of the sort my dear, I just don’t appreciate you making false statements. There’s dedicated support out there for male survivors of rape. There’s men opening up and sharing their experiences of rape.
The point is you are clearly saying if you was a woman, people would be falling over themselves to help... you have made it clear you are not a woman. I am a woman and it is not like that. We need to open up a dialogue regarding male rape and male sexual assault, to challenge hegemonic masculinity, and to bring male rape out of the closet, not bash another gender. It’s not helping anyone having that attitude.
Yes I agree.
I wouldn't have been raped if I wasn't Autistic. The guy took advantage of the fact I had no friends, I was lonely, I thought he was a friend. He manipulated me.
Most NTs will never experience that, some will, but not must, because you're more vulnerable when you are young and Autistic and have no friends, and then you don't see the potential pitfalls.
